Gizmo Wins PRINT Magazine’s Environmental Design Award for Fort Churchill Visitor Center
Gizmo Art Production’s design, fabrication, and installation work at the Fort Churchill State Historic Park Visitor Center has been recognized with First Place in Environmental Design at the 2026 PRINT Awards.
Located in Silver Springs, Nevada, the award-winning exhibition was created in collaboration with Ralph Appelbaum Associates (RAA), the world-renowned exhibition design firm.
Creative Ideas, Design, and Craftsmanship
Gizmo’s involvement began with the ideas that helped establish the project’s direction. Our team developed core concepts and contributed significantly to the exhibition’s design, working with RAA to shape the visitor experience.
Gizmo then fabricated and installed the exhibits, carrying those ideas through to completion. This combination of creative development, design collaboration, and craftsmanship brought Fort Churchill’s history to life in its unique historic setting.
Welcoming Visitors Since October 2025
The new Visitor Center opened in October 2025, inviting visitors to explore the people, events, and perspectives that shaped Fort Churchill.
We are proud to see this project recognized and congratulate our Gizmo team, Ralph Appelbaum Associates, and Nevada State Parks on this shared achievement.
