Jack London State Historic Park is celebrating it’s 55th anniversary as a National Historic Landmark!
To celebrate, the Jack London Museum will be renovating all of its exhibits at the House of Happy Walls in Glenn Ellen California.
“Jack and Charmian London were trail blazers. Despite his humble beginnings, he became the most popular and highly paid author of his day, an intrepid adventurer, an early environmentalist, animal activist , organizer for equality and opportunity and visionary champion of sustainable agriculture. Charmian represented the feminist model of the late 19th century “new woman”, an educated, self-sufficient, liberated person who valued her own opinions as much as anyone else’s.”
Gizmo Art Production is outfitting the interior of Jack London’s two story home of with new display cases, topographic maps, interactive elements, illuminated light boxes, and interpretive graphics. The exhibit will house many images of Jack London throughout his life as well as many artifacts from his travels with Charmian.
Come check out the new exhibit! The opening will take place on November 10th, 2018!
