Gizmo fabricated and installs Airbus’s new modular airplanes, the future of flying.
Client: Transpose (A^3 by Airbus)
Location: Palo Alto, CA
Date: May 2017
In 2017, over the course of three months, Gizmo worked with Transpose, and A^3 by Airbus project, to create unique airplane modules. The modules are made of up exterior structures that are meant to slide directly into the plane and be easily interchangeable. Gizmo built and installed the exterior structure and most of the interior furniture and lighting. Transpose wanted to produce a modern and special design for planes, a design for the future of flight. Gizmo fabricated multiple areas that house different seating elements so the traveler has the option of spending their flight doing many different activities such as sitting at a table with the family, having a business meeting, going on a computer, taking a nap, grabbing a drink at the bar, or playing in the kid’s area.
