Fort Churchill State Historic Park Visitor Center Opens — Featuring Exhibits Fabricated by Gizmo Art Production, Inc.
October 4, 2025 — Silver Springs, Nevada
Gizmo Art Production, Inc. is proud to announce the opening of the new Visitor Center at Fort Churchill State Historic Park, where visitors can now experience an engaging and beautifully designed exhibit that brings Nevada’s frontier history to life.
The new interpretive center was developed in collaboration with the renowned design firm Ralph Appelbaum Associates (RAA), known worldwide for creating immersive museum environments. Gizmo worked closely with RAA’s design team to fabricate and install the custom exhibit components, blending historic interpretation with craftsmanship and modern design.
The exhibit explores the story of Fort Churchill, a U.S. Army outpost established in 1861 to protect early settlers and Pony Express routes. Through tactile displays, multimedia elements, and carefully detailed reproductions, the new space offers visitors a deeper understanding of Nevada’s 19th-century frontier life and the people who lived and served there.
“Working with the talented designers at Ralph Appelbaum Associates was an inspiring process,” said a representative from Gizmo. “Together, we were able to honor the legacy of Fort Churchill while creating a contemporary visitor experience that educates and connects with audiences of all ages.”
Gizmo’s team managed full exhibit fabrication, finish carpentry, scenic painting, and installation, ensuring every element met museum-quality standards and reflected the rugged beauty of the historic site.
The opening marks another successful collaboration between Gizmo Art Production, Inc. and RAA, following a long line of museum and cultural projects that demonstrate Gizmo’s dedication to craftsmanship, precision, and storytelling through design.
Visitors can now explore the newly opened Fort Churchill State Historic Park Visitor Center and experience Nevada’s frontier history through a fresh lens — one shaped by collaboration, creativity, and craftsmanship.
