People travel from all over the globe to visit Alcatraz, the former federal island prison that once held the likes of gangster Al Capone. Alcatraz is an iconic landmark amongst the San Francisco Bay and backdrop of Marin County.
The island originally served as a military fort during the 1850s then later as the birthplace of the “Red Power” movement headed by the American Indian Movement (AIM) where they occupied the island for a year and a half.
The island’s rich and interesting history make it a highly travelled destination.
Alcatraz’s gift shop is substantial and offers products ranging from books to dishware. As such, GGNPC wanted to keep Alcatraz looking beautiful and provide visitors access to more retail space.
To live up to Alcatraz’s already serene enviornment, Gizmo built and installed clean and ergonomic display units with unique and distinguished appliques.
