The partners of the India Basin Waterfront Park project—including the Trust for Public Land, San Francisco Parks Alliance, A. Philip Randolph Institute, San Francisco Recreation and Parks, and the Bayview-Hunters Point community, along with the San Francisco Foundation—invite you to the opening of India Basin Waterfront Park at 900 Innes Avenue on Saturday, October 19 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Opening remarks will begin at 11:30 a.m.
The Gizmo Exhibit Team has been working as Fabrication Consultants to rehabilitate the Shipwright Cottage to serve as a welcome center with interpretive history exhibits. The interior of the cottage has been thoughtfully curated to showcase the interpretive elements of historic tools, wallpaper, and salvaged artifacts, providing a glimpse into the lives of the shipwrights who once called this place home.
