Adrien Segal hired Gizmo Art Production to fabricate and install her hanging sculpture.
Client: Adrien Segal
Category: Public Art
Location: Capital One Building, San Francisco, California
Date: January 2017
This sculpture was fabricated by water jet cutting stainless steel into the shape of a river. Alongside Adrien, Gizmo employees worked attaching the varying lengths of the ball chains.
Each hanging chain and their lengths represent water usage and distribution and each different color of the chains represent different entities of water.
To install Adrien’s piece Gizmo had to build an engineered stage that would cross over an open stairway so that the installers could bolt the sculpture in place safely and out of the way.
This piece is now located in the Capital One building in San Francisco.
