Gizmo is thrilled to announce the successful completion of the new Yosemite Exploration Center, aptly named “Yosemite Now!”. This dynamic visitors center boasts a vibrant array of colorful graphics, showcasing detailed images and informative text about the local flora and fauna.
A highlight of the center is the new interactive components, including a microscope, spinner graphics, and drawer pulls that unveil park artifacts such as pine cones, bones, feathers, and many other intriguing items. Another notable feature of this project is the “curiosity cubies”, custom shelving and exquisite woodwork designed to house special items. Complete with carved lettering, custom light fixtures, and painted acrylic letters, this exhibit boasts exquisite details at every turn. Additionally, the center showcases stunning black wood crafted using the Japanese wood charring technique known as “Shou Sugi Ban,” adding a touch of elegance and craftsmanship to the space. Overall, the center is a playful, explorative space, inviting visitors to familiarize themselves with the rich history of Yosemite Valley.
Gizmo excelled at leveling the entire exhibit over an unlevel floor, improving the overall look and feel of the visitor’s space.
