This is the first new memorial in Golden Gate Park in more than 30 years.
The BAYS Breast Cancer Memorial Garden has been designed by Penn Phillips and Julianna Fecskes Phillips of InsideOut Design.
“Bay Area Young Survivors — a nonprofit support community for young people with breast cancer — has dreamt-up and funded the memorial garden, which is scheduled to open in early 2025.
The BAYS Breast Cancer Memorial Garden will include native plants, a plaza, seating areas and inscriptions, and be situated at the intersection of Conservatory Drive and Arguello Boulevard. The space will include the names of over 100 members who have died from metastatic breast cancer, as well as space for future members to be commemorated over time.” Read more about by clicking HERE.
