Adrien Segal hired Gizmo Art Production to fabricate and install her hanging sculpture.
Client: Adrien Segal
Category: Public Art
Location: Capital One Building, San Francisco, California
Date: January 2017
This piece is now located in the Capital One building in San Francisco.
The sculpture was fabricated by water jet cutting stainless steel into the river shape. Adrien and Gizmo attached the different lengths of the ball chains.
The hanging chain represents the water usage and how it is distributed. The different color chains represent different entities.
To install Adrien’s piece gizmo had to actually build an engineered stage that would cross over an open stairway so that the installers could bolt the sculpture in place.
