Gizmo Begins Work on "Saving Lives" for Discovery Gateway Children's Museum

Gizmo is helping to design, value engineer, construct, and install an exciting new exhibit about life rescue and helicopters for the Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum in Salt Lake City, Utah. The exhibit, which is being underwritten by Intermountain Health Providers, will feature a hospital, a command center, and a decommissioned helicopter to set-up different rescue scenarios and engage visitors in learning about how each of these components work together to perform life saving rescues in the mountains of Utah.

Gizmo to Build Kota Ezawa Sculpture for Yerba Buena Center for the Arts

Gizmo will be returning to its business roots at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in downtown San Francisco. In the early 1990s, founder Mark Sabatino cut his teeth as the lead preparator for the cutting edge museum. Since that time, Gizmo has worked with the Center on many successful projects, including: “The Art of Cuba” and Fred Wilson’s “The Greeting Gallery,” featured at  the de Young Museum. In 2006 the company worked on The Gap’s “Individuals” exhibition for the YCBA Forum.

Gizmo Creates "Super Lite Brites" for Oklahoma Museum Network

On the recommendation of Explora’s director, Joe Hastings, Sherry Marshall of the Oklahoma Museum Network commissioned Gizmo Art Production to create “Super Lite Brites,” for three local children’s museums. The lights use 1” diameter acrylic rods in a variety of colors and are over 10’ in length. Visitors can create their own images on a durable, black background.
